MISSION

PHOENIXLAB IS ENGAGED IN PRECLINICAL RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASES (IBD) AND OTHER INFLAMMATORY CONDITIONS, WITH THE AIM OF:

  • UNDERSTAND the molecular and immunological mechanisms underlying chronic intestinal inflammation, such as Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis, and other inflammatory conditions
  • DEVELOP and VALIDATE predictive and translational preclinical models
  • OPTIMIZE the discovery and evaluation of new therapies, integrating biomarkers, advanced technologies, and multidisciplinary approaches

LEADERS IN THE FIELD OF PRECLINICAL RESEARCH IN IBD

Founded in 2020 by Dr. Silvia D’Alessio, PhoenixLAB s.r.l.s was born from the meeting of experience and passion for preclinical research in the field of gastrointestinal diseases. Our team specializes in the use of murine models of IBD, intestinal fibrosis, colorectal cancer, liver fibrosis, and skin diseases, with an integrated approach that includes endoscopic, histological techniques and gene expression analysis. We also work with 3D ex vivo cultures of intestinal biopsies from IBD patients, FACS and multiomic analyses, and we provide support in drafting scientific articles, funding applications, and authorization protocols for ethics committees.
